The founder of The Chess Mania & head coach, Sneha Ghatpande has been playing chess since she was a kid. She was enrolled into a local chess class by her mother after seeing her growing interest in the game. That was the beginning of her chess journey & till date she is thankful to her mother for making this decision!

Sneha truly loves the game & that can be seen through the way she teaches the game to her students. She believes in the fun & learn method of teaching & makes sure each of her student is showing interest & improvement.

Being a chess player for more than 20 years, Sneha has participated in several National & International level tournaments & has been awarded with many accolades. A FIDE(World chess Federation) , CFC (Canada chess Federation) and USCF (United states Chess Federation) rated player, based on FIDE Ratings she currently stands in Top 20 Women Chess Players of Canada.

Inspite of being CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) & MBA by profession, Sneha chose her passion & love for chess as her career path & that is how The Chess Mania was born.

From learning chess as kid to teaching chess to +300 kids (& few adults as well) in a span of 8 years, Sneha’s chess journey has been a remarkable one.
